"Love it, unfortunately to pieces!" 2010-02-24

I do love this bowl, and have owned two of them now. Unfortunately, it just breaks too easy. I just broke my second one today and am very upset about it. The color matches so well with my decor and looks great on my counter. However, I dropped it about 8 inches and it shattered into pieces. I really wish they would use something more durable for this bowl. But that would probably take the price way too high. I will probably not purchase another one as it is a waste to spend that much and then have it break within a couple of months.

 "Fragile!" 2010-02-12

accidently nocked it over from counter to floor and it broke into 5 pieces! Really for something plastic that claims it is "durable" it shouldn't break that easily. Save your money and get something nicer.

My daughter was thrilled with her bowl for Christmas. It was mailed quickly and arrived in prefect shape.

"More GARBAGE from Rachel Ray" 2009-11-06

C'mon, wake up and see the false marketing. This is noting more than a cheap plastic most likely made in Asia like all of Rachel Rays other trashy cookware. A friend this, it slipped from her had and shattered into five pieces. Seriously, first of all Rachel Ray doesn't know anything about cooking other than what the consultants are feeding her before a show AND she is making a fortune off of the public's stupidity. She is laughing all the way to the bank..along with Martha Stewart. When you buy their garbage you support their lifestyle. Go to Bridge on line or William Somoma for good cookware and tools. And if you want a garbage bowl, go to a pet store and but a stainless water dish. It has a wide flat base, high sides, doesn't tip and is STAINLESS, which doesn't absorb stinky smells or stain ever. Best is that it costs about $6 for a large bowl. Rachel Ray's cookware is cheap and will be disposable in a few years. Her line is made for susie homemaker who cannot cook. Rachel Ray was a DEMONSTRATOR in a store pushing products ...the same as she does now but pretending to be a world renown expert. Gag me with a spoon.

 "Just an ordinary bowl" 2009-09-14
By CarpenterT (california, Md usa)
This bowl is no different than any other. Since it is designed to look like a Texas Bowl although it is nothing like it. The sides of the bowl are too thin and the opening of the bowl needs to be wider (for easy mixing and scraping stuff out of the bottom).

I am not sure whether to be apalled or humored by the fact that Amazon is selling these for $31, and people continue to purchase them...it's a BOWL...for garbage scraps. Save your money and buy a more durable, stainless steel bowl if you must have a bowl for garbage, or simply line an inexpensive plastic bowl with a small plastic bag and dispose of it in the garbage after meal prep. I think it's time for me to join boardoutmind!!
